Edward (Ned) Ellsworth - Class Of 1964

Theodore Ellsworth

Edward N. (Ned) Ellsworth III
Westbury High School class of 1964

Edward N. (Ned) Ellsworth III (class of 1964) was born May 1, 1946 and returned home to his Father in Heaven on December 23, 2008 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was survived by his loving wife Frances Langley Ellsworth, six children and (now) 16 grandchildren. He was also survived by his mother, Mildred Vance Ellsworth (of Katy), sisters, Jean Ellsworth Mills (of Katy), Jackie Ellsworth Bronander (of Phoenix, AZ), and twin brother Theodore (Ted) Ellsworth (of Katy).

At Westbury, Ned was active in the R.O.T.C. and the Debate Club and was known for his infectious smile and good humor. Following high school he attended the University of Houston where he studied business. Later he served his Country in the Army Reserve, serving in a medical battalion. Eventually he joined the family business, General Terrazzo Supplies, Inc. where he worked in operations, sales and accounting, holding the positions of Vice President Sales and Vice President and Controller.

Along the way he moved the family to Montgomery, Texas where he and Frances raised their growing brood. Following the sale of the business in 1995, Ned joined Spring Gardens Nursery as Controller where he worked until his death.

Ned was a great father, husband, businessman, and patriot and had a positive influence on so many. He is missed more and more each day by his family and his many friends.

I'm so sorry to suddenly learn that Ned Ellsworth passed away back in 2008.  I should have enjoyed

seeing him again before he left us during one of my trips to Houston.  I still remember him back in my

Sophomore days at Westbury when we both were going to save America from Communism.

May the Lord give him eternal bliss in the Homeland of the Blessed.
